Why is Equal Exchange switching to a new cup?

Many of you have requested a more environmentally friendly cup. After researching options, we concluded that the
ecotainer™ cup strikes the best balance between quality and environmental impact.

These new cups are more expensive, but we feel that both the reduced environmental impact in the cups’
manufacturing process and their ability to be composted in an industrial composting facility are compelling reasons
to switch.

• Requires less energy to produce than standard hot cups, reducing greenhouse gas emissions
